The Staffordshire And Worcestershire Canal Celebrates its 250th Birthday

This year is a significant anniversary for the Staffordshire & Worcestershire Canal, which was opened in 1772, 250 years ago.

In order to celebrate the canal’s historic milestone, the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal Society is planning to hold a ‘250th Birthday Celebration Rally’ over the August Bank Holiday weekend (August 27th – 28th.)

The rally is to be held below the unique Bratch Locks, which will give everyone the opportunity to visit and enjoy the beauty and heritage of our canal, and be a part of an historic period in our canals history.

Boat Entry forms are available here or from the Society’s Harbour Master Mr S. Bingham, either by phone 07964151552 or by E.Mail:-
The Entry Fee is £15, which will include a souvenir Rally Plaque celebrating this notable event in the history of our waterways.
